Open Window Guest Speakers
OPEN WINDOW EVENTS
Transart hosts talks, screenings, somatic sessions, lectures, listening sessions, and more through our Open Window events, a monthly series of Sunday online sessions that we share with alumni and the public.
We are inviting proposals for both presentation and guest-led follow-up discussions. We are open to any theme, form or discipline.
Process: We will invite you to submit a brief proposal with a title, description, image (s), bio, and website. This is the information which will appear on our website. You may update it simply through the same proposal form. Once accepted, you will submit a profile form for our People page. Lastly, we will send you an invitation letter with details.
Dates and time: Talks are generally 45 minutes with a break, followed by a thirty-minute discussion on the second Sunday of each trimester: September, October, November, January, February, March, May, June, and July. We aim for a time of day that accommodates everyone's time zones. Typically, this means starting at 13:00 or 15:00 UTC.
Session: Your online session will be moderated by Transart, so you can focus exclusively on leading it. Your session will be recorded so that our neurodiverse PgRs and those with extreme time differences can access it.
Post-session: You will be prompted to submit a check-in form to share your impressions of the sessions, gather suggestions for the future, and collect payment information.
Guests: TT welcomes collaboration, so it's fine to invite a guest or to share your role as a session leader with a colleague; please indicate this on your syllabus form. Please include details in the course proposal form, such as the guest's contact email and how and when you envision their participation in your session.
Fee: Open window fees are 150 USD per hour. You may invoice 300 USD for this session.
