This presentation delineates a formal methodological framework for the public resonance of the Modern Greek oboe music catalogue. By situating the Thematic Catalogue at the intersection of (Ethno)musicology and Digital Humanities, the research examines how the transition from archival silence to Digital Discoverability functions as a profound act of Regional Consciousness.

​Central to this study is the construction of an Artificial Intelligence Ontology tailored to Hellenic musical heritage. Utilising Music Information Retrieval and Data Mining, the project develops Ground Truth Datasets encompassing the repertoire, Extended Oboe Techniques, and Interpretative Practices. These datasets ensure that the digital transition preserves the idiosyncratic voice of the region, preventing assimilation into homogenised global datasets by integrating insights from Ethnomusicology, Psychoacoustics, and related disciplines.

​From the perspective of Social Science and Cultural Anthropology, these digital tools are framed as vehicles for communal practice. They facilitate a modern Regional Identity, allowing marginalised repertoire to re-enter the public sphere through Performance. By bridging historical archival data with contemporary interpretative practice, the project demonstrates how advanced technologies safeguard a community’s artistic consciousness and cultural heritage. The assembly will showcase how these integrated disciplines foster a dynamic, digitally mediated collective memory, empowering regional identities to engage meaningfully with the global digital landscape.
