➢ Confirmation of Registration review (eDoc) (within 1 year)
➢ LJMU Research Development Sessions (available upon sign-up)

*Whether you will need to obtain Ethical Approval for your project largely hinges on whether you intend to work with participants in your research - there are useful bot-driven tools linked from eDoc that can give you a quick idea of whether or not you will need Ethical Approval for your project. The Ethical Approval process is undertaken via eDoc as well, and can be undertaken at any appropriate point of your project. However, if you think that you are likely to start working with participants or formally including their contributions to your research, it may be worth seeking interim Ethical Approval in the first instance, so that you can include their contributions and data within your thesis if you need to. Speak to your LJMU Lead or Chair Advisor in the first instance if you have any questions about the Ethical Approval process.
