Communication Channels

Signal

Announcements, calls, news and deadline reminders will arrive via this channel for immediacy, simplicity and security* via Signal, is our main mode of communication.

TT Signal groups include:
- TT Reminders (unsubscribe if you have your own system).
- TT Peer and Research groups (form your own or request one).
- Upcoming Nexus Events and changes (if registered to attend)

* Every message, call, file, and voice note on Signal is end-to-end encrypted by default using the open-source Signal Protocol. Messages are encrypted on your device and can only be decrypted by the intended recipient. Signal's servers act as a relay and cannot read message contents or listen to calls. We do not support WhatsApp or similar apps as they differ vastly in how they collect your data and protect your "metadata" though you may use them. You can always opt out of any or all Signal groups.

Email
We use it sparingly for:

News Digests
At the start of each trimester PgRs and faculty receive an email with upcoming trimester events, news, programme changes and opportunities.

Staff contact
You will find a directory in the site menu bar with all our email addresses.
Note: Staff are not available on weekends or in Deep Focus months.

Staff check always check their communication channels on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Expect a response by Thursday if you write by Tuesday and Tuesday if you write by Thursday.
