Yvette Chaparro

Yvette Chaparro Yvette Chaparro is an Industrial Designer, Educator, and Researcher. She is an Associate Professor of Product and Industrial Design, teaching in the BFA Product Design and in the MFA Industrial Design programmes within the School of Constructed Environments at Parsons, The New School. She is currently serving as the interim director for the MFA Industrial Design programme. Through her design studio, Yvette Chaparro Studio, she has worked on a variety of products, including tabletop, hardware, bath and kitchen faucets, furniture, lighting, exhibits, and more. A few of the brands she has worked for include Restoration Hardware, Villeroy & Boch, Calvin Klein, West Elm, Kate Spade, and Ralph Lauren.

As a researcher, Yvette explores topics such as design pedagogy, interdisciplinary collaboration, the use of terminology in design, the development of families of objects, modularity and its applications, and the applications of typology.
