Anthi Kosma

Anthi Kosma, through her artistic and theoretical work, explores drawing beyond traditional media as an embodied experience, a performative spatial intra-action, and emotional writing. Drawing on graphic improvisation and pedagogical creative principles centred on equality, free expression, and experimentation, she organizes workshops under the title "imprográfika," exploring the limits of the line's material imaginary in our lives. In recent years, her research and architectural work have been entangled with critical posthumanism, new materialisms, bio-design, ecologies, and territorial justice. She has been published by Rowman & Littlefield, Brill, and others, and has collaborated with the TransArt Institute since 2021.

Her creative research unfolds at the intersection of drawing, embodied practice, and ecological thought. She approaches drawing not as a representational tool, but as a performative act — a form of sentimental and speculative writing beyond media. Her practice is multiscalar and interdisciplinary, moving between writing, teaching, performance, art, and architecture. She is currently developing work that explores the poetics of earth, water, touch, listening, and ecologies. Collaboration is central to her process; she works across disciplines to generate dialogue around memory, materiality, and more-than-human sympoietic life. Rooted in a commitment to creative pedagogies, her research is inseparable from teaching. She cultivates spaces where participants can experiment, fail, feel, and find their own "voices" — believing that egalitarian education and practices like drawing can become collective world-making.
