Woolf University Mitigating Circumstances Policy:

Mitigating circumstances are serious circumstances beyond a student’s or faculty member’s control that adversely affect academic performance or tutorial support. They may include serious medical problems, domestic or personal circumstances, major accidents, interruptions of public services, disturbances during examination, or serious administrative or procedural errors with a material effect on outcomes. They do not normally include personal technology problems, employment changes, permanent or sustained medical conditions unless there is a sudden change, or cases without official evidence. A report is normally only considered if it is submitted before the deadline for the affected written project or within one week of a cumulative examination. If accepted, it may allow an extended deadline, an extended examination period, or a retake, but it will not lead to remarking of existing work. Go to Forms to submit one.
